Winter Garden Busted Records
Winter Garden Police Department handles most city arrests. The sheriff's office can too. So can state or federal agencies acting within their own authority. Every custodial arrest booked in Orange County passes through the Booking and Release Center, where corrections staff assign the booking number, open the custody entry, log charge and bond fields, and take the identification photo. When WGPD made the arrest, the county report's agency field reads WINTER GARDEN PD.
An April 2024 population estimate ranked the city third among Orange County's incorporated places. That says nothing about jail volume. A citation, a notice to appear, a transfer, or a booking elsewhere can all bypass the county jail. Three custodians hold the record. WGPD keeps incident and arrest reports, Orange County Corrections holds the booking record, and the Clerk maintains the court docket.
Where Winter Garden Busted Mugshots Appear
Winter Garden police publish no daily named-arrestee bulletin. There is no booking log or photo feed either. Turn to the county instead. The Orange County roster and its one-day booking report are the official online starting points for a local custodial booking. A police report and a court docket each cover a separate part of the record.
| Channel | Photo? | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Orange County current inmates | Yes | Official current custody, charges, bond, and booking photograph |
| 24-hour booking report | No | Official fixed cohort with agency, booking, case, and charge fields |
| WGPD Records Management | By request | Official city offense, incident, and arrest-report route |
| Orange Clerk search | No | Official filed case and disposition, subject to access limits |
| Arrests.org city filter | Often | Unofficial and not a clean municipal blotter |
| Mugshots.com archive | Often | Unofficial and apparently stale, not a current feed |
Private sites tell only part of the story. Busted Newspaper, Recently Booked, Mugshots.zone, and Mugshots Orlando sometimes carry area listings. Be careful with them. They may sort by residence, keep an outdated photo, omit later developments, or copy an error from a source. Verify identity and custody against official records.
Winter Garden Police Arrest Records
WGPD Records Management takes requests in the police lobby, by mail, by phone, or by email. The city's current records notice lists recordsrequest@wgpd.com. Give staff the incident date, names, location, case number if you have it, and a clear description of the report you want. Florida law allows protected material to be redacted.
Fees come from an older citywide form, so confirm before approving work. The listed rates are $0.15 per single-sided page, $0.20 per double-sided page, $0.20 per color page, $1 for certification plus copies, $5 for a CD, $10 for a DVD, and actual postage. The form predates current practice and is not police-specific. No guaranteed turnaround period exists.

Ask the city for the WGPD narrative. Ask Orange County Corrections for the jail photo or booking sheet. Neither custodian will hand over the other's full file.
Corrections requests can go through OCCDRecords@ocfl.net, by phone at 407-836-0321, by mail to PO Box 4970, Orlando, FL 32802-4970, or in person on the fourth floor at 3723 Vision Boulevard. Include the full name, booking date, and booking number when known. Say which item you want: booking sheet, image, affidavit, or release record. That helps staff find it without an overbroad search.
Note: Ask each custodian for a current estimate before authorizing extensive review, duplication, or technology work.
Busted in Winter Garden Steps
Searching in stages keeps one empty page from looking like a final answer. The Orange County jail roster and booking resource goes deeper on the county channels.
- Search BestJail by last name and add the optional first name. Compare the booking number, current charges, bond, and photograph on a possible profile.
- Open the county booking PDF and read its date header. Look for WINTER GARDEN PD in the agency field within that defined 24-hour cohort.
- If release removed the profile, ask Orange County Corrections for the booking record or photograph and include the booking date or number.
- Request WGPD's offense, incident, or arrest report for the city narrative. Use a narrow date and clear record description.
- Search the Orange Clerk docket for filed counts and final disposition. The jail charge may not match what prosecutors later file.
A roster search that returns nothing can mean several things. The person may have been released, or the entry may not be posted yet. A name variant, another county, a citation without jail booking, or a confidential matter can also explain it. Hang onto the booking number and case number. Those identifiers beat a copied name every time.
Winter Garden Booking Post Timing
Corrections promises a current-inmate entry on the listing within 30 minutes after staff enter it into the inmate management system. The clock does not start at arrest. Transport to the Booking and Release Center, medical clearance, identity processing, and initial intake can all come first, before the data entry that triggers the window.
The daily PDF and the live roster are not copies of each other. BestJail drops a person upon release. The daily document may still show a release time for someone in its 24-hour booking cohort, though it carries no photos and its stable URL gets replaced. No verified official feed covers 48-hour, 72-hour, weekly, or searchable historical bookings. For an older Winter Garden date, request a defined booking log or a commitment-and-release list from Corrections.
Winter Garden Arrest News
Two outlets stand out for city-level arrest news in Winter Garden. The Orange Observer and the West Orange Times & Observer cover west-county incidents in real depth, sometimes pairing stories with agency-supplied or courtesy photos. An older feature called Cops Corner once summarized police reports from Winter Garden and nearby towns. Its surfaced pages stop around 2019, so treat it as an archive rather than a weekly blotter. Broadcast tags help too. FOX 35 keeps a Winter Garden location tag. ClickOrlando, WESH, and WFTV all weigh in when something major happens.
A news story picks events for impact, not completeness. It is not a booking feed. Still, coverage can point you toward the arresting agency, the date, an affidavit, or a court case number, even if it can't tell you whether someone is still behind bars. To bridge a story into a record, the county's Crime News page maps the route: start with the outlet's source attribution, check Corrections for current custody, then follow the Clerk docket for what the court decided.
Winter Garden Busted Custody States
Where a person sits in the process determines which source is worth your time. Someone can leave one system entirely. Yet a record tied to the case can keep living in another. That gap explains why stale unofficial pages and live jail data often disagree.
| Status | Best source | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Just booked or still held | Orange County current-inmate search | Live county custody, with a profile photo where public |
| In the prior-day cohort | County booking PDF | Booking and agency fields, possibly a release time, no photo |
| Released | Corrections records request | The live profile is gone, but the underlying record may remain |
| Police-event details | WGPD Records Management | City narrative, subject to exemptions and redactions |
| Filed and resolved case | Orange Clerk docket | Charges filed in court and the recorded disposition |
A move to state custody changes everything. Once the Florida Department of Corrections takes jurisdiction, the person belongs in the FDC offender search rather than the county's recent-arrest feed. The FDC image, when one exists, is an offender photo taken for state custody. Don't assume it matches the original Winter Garden booking photo from the arrest.
Federal and immigration holds follow separate tracks. The federal Bureau of Prisons locator and the ICE detainee locator cover those systems. Neither offers a public county mugshot gallery. Neither one replaces the WGPD arrest report, the Orange County intake record, or the Orange Clerk's case file either.
Note: OCSO's general mobile app has no verified jail lookup, and VINE provides custody alerts rather than a mugshot feed.
Winter Garden Busted Case Outcomes
Booking follows a custodial arrest. It's the administrative step that logs the charge as first stated. First appearance comes next for anyone still held. That hearing covers rights, counsel, and release terms, but it settles none of the merits. The State Attorney can still file different charges, drop a count, or dismiss the case outright.
For the paper trail, search my eClerk by name or case number and filter common names carefully. Then work the sequence: charging document, amended counts, plea or trial entries, dismissal, acquittal, adjudication, withhold, sentence, and later orders. The final entry is the court's recorded outcome. A withhold of adjudication does not erase the underlying arrest record on its own.
The full chain runs WGPD report → Orange County booking and photo → first appearance → Clerk docket and disposition. A Winter Garden busted mugshot captures one link in that chain. It cannot show what the court decided. Its absence from a live roster proves nothing about the arrest either.
